EARLY REGISTRATION IS BRISK Well Ahead of Past Years' Pace

Willsboro, Feb. 12-- With 29 registrants already penciled in for the 2006 Patch Sprint, registration is well ahead of last year, or any year.      In 2005, the Patch Sprint- the annual adventure race, trek and party held here over Memorial Day weekend- had a record 98 participants.

"Yeah, but in early February, there were less than a dozen entered, so this year could be huge," exclaimed race director Sandra E. Solomon.      The potential for big numbers has one race official concerned.  Says Greg Henderson, "we alert folks every year that they should register early, but this time we mean it!  I don't think we can accomodate a late rush if we already have 100 signed up."      Not wishing to sound too ominous, Henderson added, "We'll certainly try to fit everyone in, but as far as t-shirts and race aid supplies, there will definately have to be a cutoff."
