LARGE NUMBERS EXPECTED TO INVADE POK-O-MOONSHINE

Willsboro, NY-- For the ninth consecutive year, the overall field of Patch Sprint racers and trekkers is larger than the previous event.  "The only year we took a slight hit was in 1999," said four-time winner Jason Fiegl, "and that's because no one told me about it.  The nerve of those people!  I win the previous race and then they switch the date on me!  Either it was that, or I was at a spiritual awakening retreat in Asia, I forget."      Over 100 hardy souls will hit the course running, and walking next Saturday.  They will come in four waves. CHAMPIONSHIP REQUIREMENTS - Victory in the OPEN MALE division and/or OVERALL CHAMPION (“The Janny”)   will be recognized from the 10:00am start only . - Victory in the OPEN FEMALE division and/or OVERALL WOMENS CHAMPION  (MacCready Fitness Trophy) will be recognized from the 9:00 or 10:00am start only . - MASTERS and CLYDESDALE champions may come from any start (8, 9, 10).

AWARDS WILL BE PRESENTED to all participants.  Among the highlights:  Top three ribbons in each division.... Medals for all racer, trekker and kindersprint finishers.... Doc' OldKinda Cookies for special achievements.... A commemorative prize for all "Patch Club" donors.... Framed pictures.... Cash to the winner of the 50-50 raffle.
