Pok-O-MacCready makes up largest "chapter" in the club
The Adirondack Forty-Sixers is comprised of those climbers who have scaled the 46 "high peaks"; of New York State, most of them in excess of 4000 feet above sea level. The club presently has over 5300 members.
Pok-O-MacCready, with roughly five percent of that total, claims an average of five new 46ers per year
1925. 30 years later, Duane Nash became the first "Pok-O 46er". During the 2004 summer, three campers, three staff members and one alumna finished.

It's by no means a requirement to climb them all, but many
campers have found the experience to be one of the most
rewarding in their lifetime.
Pok-O-MacCready has also produced many luminaries
among the forty-sixer elite. Phil Corell, spending his 49th
summer at camp, has twice served as president of the
Forty-Sixer club. Corell, as well as acting camp director Sharp Swan, and former ADV Section head Jim Kobak have completed over 20 rounds of the 46..... Camp boasts six winter forty-sixers plus one former camper/counselor who is, to date, the only person to ever ski up and down each of the 46 mountains

nothing quite like the celebration of completing the 46 for the first time. Each summer, countless hikes
are sent out to the high peaks and if a camper is willing, he or she can complete the 46 in three or four
summers.
On the summit of their final peak, they are rewarded with food and beverage; company consisting of a
hand picked climbing party of close friends; membership into the Adirondack Forty-Sixers; and a feeling
of accomplishment they will carry with them the rest of their lives
