Announcing the official 2021 BEAST calendar. BEST OF BEAST!!

   To celebrate our "at least ten-year anniversary" of the BEAST (Best Ever Awesome Sprint Training) run-hike-training series, we present "The Best of BEAST".
     Each week, we will revisit one of the past annual themes, incorporating that theme into the training run and, as important, post-training party and feast:

Events are Saturdays at 2:00 pm at the location in (parenthesis).  All runs will begin and end at the designated spot and culminate with a potluck picnic dinner.

April 10: 2:00 - Rattlesnake. Meet at Homestead. Theme: Star Wars.

April 17: 2:00 - Bare. Meet at Homestead. Theme: Cartoons.

April 24: 2:00 - Pok-O. Meet at south lot. Theme: Countries

May 1: 2:00 - Sugarloaf. Meet at Homestead. Theme: Jim Kobak.

May 8: 2:00 - Rattlesnake. Meet at Homestead. Theme: Time Periods.

May 15:  2:00 - Tax Day 5K. Meet at Homestead. Theme: Holiday Mashups.

May 22:  2:00 -  Pok-O Time Trial & South Lot Cantina soft opening. Theme: Swing States.

May 27: 4:30-7:30 -  Course Marking and Summit Cache (Pok-O-MacCready Camps dining hall) - Stop by camp to pick up arrows, flagging and aid supplies to help ready the course.  Party to follow.

May 29... THE PATCH SPRINT!!!

While 2:00pm is the stated starting time, participants are encouraged to begin when they want, and go at their own pace.  And, if you don't want to run or hike, just bring a dish and show up for the picnic, usually beginning around 3:00.
