RACE EXPO - FRIDAY, MAY 28:  6:00 - 8:00pm

STANDARD FARE

weighin09Race Registration: Please pick up your race packet, t-shirt, and other race goodies and pay outstanding fees.

Clydesdale Weigh-in: Following a 2800 mile car trip, will Ben Stanley have to switch into this division?  How many rocks will Ryba be hiding in his cargo pants?  Find out the answers at the annual weigh-in.  On stage immediately following dinner.

Betting Booth: Wager or a variety of race categories for a chance to win cash prizes while donating to a good cause..

Chris’s Carbo-Loading Supper: Pasta, Sauces, Salad, Bread, Dessert, Milk, Water, Juice.  (Served at 7:00)

Volunteers Meeting: at 8:00

AWARDS DISPLAY
Come and view the “Janny”, as well as the men’s and women’s overall champion trophies; Finishers medallions; Patch Sprint ribbons; Special awards for recognition and top donors. Superstition says- if you touch the “Janny”, you’ll have a slow race.

PATCH SPRINT NEWS & HISTORY
Display boards with event news and announcements, as well as photographs and results from past events.

PATCH SPRINT COURSE MAPS & ADVICE
Course experts John Rayburn and Katie Moffett will impart their secrets about how to shave a minute or two off of your time, and how to avoid that wrong turnoff on Bare.

PARTY & PLAY

IMG_0067The 2010 Patch Sprint will feature three separate social gatherings on race day, Saturday:

The BBHH Finishers Party: Top of Mt. Pok-O-Moonshine- 11:30-2:30.  All partygoers are responsible for bringing (or arranging for a Sherpa to bring) their own food, beverages and extra clothing.

The Evening Banquet: Robinson Hall- 5:30-8:30.  Appetizers, meal, and beverages provided for all registered participants or paying guests.  Alcohol will not be served, nor is it allowed on camp property.

The After-Hours Party:  Private residence, Willsboro, NY- 9:00... Gorgeous lakeside setting.  BYOB

PATCH SPRINT GOLF:  An “outing”, not a tournament

WHAT:  The 106th Patch Open

WHEN:  Sunday, May 30, 2:00pm

WHERE:  Willsboro Golf Course

FORMAT:  Show up and play with friends.  If a scramble or closest-to-the pin contest pops up, so be it.

UPDATES:

Camp Director Sharp Swan is still trying to deal with a land owner located between Sugarloaf and the base of Pok-O.  Should access be denied, a crew is on call, and will flag an alternate route...

About 15 spots remain for volunteers, guests and Kindersprinters.  The field of racers and trekkers has been closed out for three weeks, but several names on the waiting list made it into the event when others had to drop out....
