120 Racers / Four Starts

Verify your start time

The 2010 Patch Sprint- like most of its predecessors- will be staged in four waves of racers and trekkers next Saturday morning,8amStart May 29.

Officially, the starts have four separate designations:

  • 9:00:  GENERAL RACERS.  Usually those who expect to take 3-4 hours to cover the course.
  • 10:00:  ELITE RACERS.  Sub-Three hour runners and major division contenders.
  • 11:00:  KINDERSPRINT.  Entrants aged 10 and younger, at the base of Mt. Pok-O-Moonshine.

Please check from the lists below to verify the start time, as selected during event registration.  If you request a change in start time, please Email that request as soon as possible.  (See below for further starting information).

In 2009, The Patch Sprint instituted a special “early bird” start for trekkers who believed they needed longer than five and one-half hours.  This option is in place again this year; please alert us as soon as possible.

Please bear in mind that participants beginning prior to 8:00am may not have aid supplies available, and may have to keep track of their summit splits on the first two mountains.  The official race starter will not be in position until the eight o’clock start, so “early bird” starters must sync their watches up with event officials in advance.
