Si nce 2000, the Patch Sprint has served as a fund raiser for the Adirondack Scholarship Foundation. Last year, $6,000.00 was raised by racers, trekkers, volunteers and friends with another $3,000 coming from a private trust.
The Adirondack Scholarship Foundation, founded 25 years ago, is responsible for providing funds to families of children hoping to enjoy a summer camping experience. Pok-O-MacCready Camps annually offers this special opportunity to several individuals.
Starting in 2012, the Patch Sprint will also be raising money for Members of PMOEC (the Pok-O-MacCready Outdoor Education Center). The Outdoor Ed. center works year-round with school groups, and its facilities and staff play host to the Patch Sprint each May.
On top of your mandatory race fees (which cover complimentary lodging, meals, a T-shirt, awards and race supplies), each racer, trekker and party attendee is asked to make a donation to one or both of our beneficiaries.
Your support is greatly appreciated!
Both the Adirondack Scholarship Foundation, and the Friends of PMOEC are 501(c)3 not-for-profit charitable organizations. Your generous donation is entirely tax deductible.
