The race to be in the race officially begins at the stroke of midnight!
Registration for the 2013 Patch Sprint opens for returning participants at 12:00 am, January 15.
In 2012, there was a fierce battle waged between, Jacob Gittler and Mike Taptick, to be the first to sign up, and have their name lead the roll call of participants. All told, 14 people signed up on opening day 2012, and the race was sold out by mid March.
This year's Patch Sprint is scheduled for May 25, in Willsboro, NY. A few changes are in line for the 2013 edition:
New in '13:
The "Filly" Division: Similar to, yet not exactly like the Clydesdale division, the Filly group will be an option for female racers 145 pounds and up. READ MORE HERE
Donor Incentives: As your event fee covers only race expenses, Patch Sprint officials are hoping to improve upon last years total of $9,000 in donations raised for The Adirondack Scholarship Foundation. As a result, several incentives will be introduced throughout the spring.
