Danny Sheridan's 2026 Patch Predictions

This is the 27th year that USA Today oddsmaker Danny Sheridan has placed Patch predictions. In 2025, Sheridan once again went 3 for 5 on his predictions, and has not hit on the Men's or Women's Racing winner since 2023. "You could say I am on a cold streak. But if you look to my overall predictions for the whole field, I have hit some home runs across the rest of the leaderboard."

Sheridan, the "Seer of Seers; the Prognosticator of Patches", is optimistic that tweaking his approach might yield better results. "This is not the year to get cute with my crystal ball. I am going to make some chalk-y picks, and I will sleep just fine if they are proven incorrect."
